Reflections

Sitting back, putting my feet up, staring at the fire

Wondering why some people can't seem to be happy unless they're angry about something, anything, as long as its worthy, like "saving the planet".
Or battling "hate speech".

Wondering why some folks spend so much time worrying about who loves whom, worrying about people who operate "outside the rules". Worrying about X's & Y's and the proper alignments. They cannot be happy for folks who found love, if it ain't the kind of love they approve of.

How many new pills are invented each year? How many commercials for pills are run every day across the major & minor networks?

It seems a virulent form of antisemitism has taken hold in a large percentage of the under 50 crowd. Its truly disturbing. The source is readily apparent and repugnant. Accademia has become a toxic sludge seeping in like cold lava, burying truth behind euphemisms and poisonous agendas. They have slowly but conclusively pushed antisemitic tropes for the last half century. More insidiously they have dragged traditional political poles further apart than they've ever been.
A "traditional" liberal loved America, Loved Israel, fought for free speech and secure voting.
But now the goalposts have been moved, that "traditional" liberal is now a fascist, racist, homophobe, puppet of the Jews, buried neck-deep in the sludge of  new "values".

  1. Certainly a worthy observation that people can't be happy unless they're angry at something. I would only question whether it's "happiness" they seek, or whether they've abandoned the concept of seeking happiness at all. I tend to think it's the latter. Modern society has done a great job creating open platforms for the "right" topics. Politicians have pushed agenda after agenda, in many cases based on strategies that exist in such books as "How to Destroy Society" or "How to Make Culture Destroy Itself." (These are fictional, out of my mind titles that do, unfortunately, represent actual publications) And in their world, the cycle of "progressive" thought that simply gets built up and then torn down every 4 years, eventually achieves the level of anger and hopelessness that's needed to get from point A (yesteryear) to point B (still to come?) In the end we'll only have ourselves to blame for being such gullible pawns in the larger game. Where, oh where is the Cleaver family when we need them most?

Re your last paragraph, I'm not getting how the traditional Liberal is a puppet of the Jews if antisemitism is the new order of the day.

    1. The point, obviously badly expressed, is that they are no more "Puppets of the Jews" than they are any of the other slurs contained in the same sentence
